
Its no secret I'm a lifelong fan of the drama, athleticism and spectacle that is pro wrestling. Despite wrestling's titanic place in American popular culture, the only movie made about it was that "comedic" abortion Ready to Rumble starring David Arquette. Needless to say this film was a crime against humanity. The real shame is wrestling has an array of personal stories that are godammed intriguing when taken seriously.
But alas there is hope. Darren Aronofsky has teamed up with Mickey Rourke (who was nails as Marv in "Sin City") for "The Wrestler", which promises to give pro wrestling the in depth look it deserves. Check the trailer:
